Flying Fifteen Championship Meeting

The following were present: Messes J Cambridge, J Mercer, J R Caters, H E Caters, T Windsor, J McVea, R Hilditch, J McKeown and R Sterling.
The Secretary reported that he had attended a meeting of Class Secretaries in Belfast. A discussion took place as to what programme would be most suitable for the majority of boat owners. The following dates and times were agreed:-
Tuesday 14th July 1959 11.00 am
Tuesday 14th July 1959 4.00 pm
Wednesday 15th July 1959 3.00 pm
Thursday 16th July 1959 3.00 pm
The best three races are to count and the Olympic Points System will be used. Friday will be used if required owing to cancellation of any of the races due to unfavourable weather conditions. These details were agreed by the meeting.
At this stage it was proposed by Mr. J McKeown and seconded by Mr. J Cambridge that the Secretary approach the Mayor Alderman Patterson J.P. and ask him if he would present the Trophy at the close of the Championship. This was passed by the meeting.
The meeting then came to an end.
