ROYAL YACHTING ASSOCIATIONThe Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the UK National Authority for Sailing, Windsurfing, and Motorboating. Apart from the internationally accepted RYA Training schemes the RYA represents and protects the interests of all boaters at local, national and international level. Locally RYA Northern Ireland Council (RYA NIC) is made up of representatives of NI clubs. CSCs representative is Honorary Secretary, Joe McEvoy. Most boaters are members affiliated clubs but many are personal members and enjoy a range of member benefits. Space here prevents covering all these benefits but visiting the RYA NIC website www.ryani.org.uk and navigating to the main site will reveal full member benefits. Or call the RYA NIC Office (9038 3812). It is quite easy to recover the full cost of annual personal membership if these benefits are used intelligently The RYA is affiliated to the International Sailing Federation (ISAF). The Racing Rules of Sailing are produced by ISAF and permission to use these rules is granted by ISAF through the national authority of each member country. Arrangements can also be made that, by joining as a personal member, your Club can benefit by using the Joining Point Scheme. Call the Office for details |
