Sailors’ and Boat Owners’ Meeting

Agenda

  1. Racing – classes for keelboats and dinghies
    • Start sequence for races
    • Safety Cover: Is safety cover required for YTC Races? For summer series it is provided for Wed (dinghy races). But volunteer availability is short. If safety cover is so required, possible solutions could be:
      • Institute reciprocal arrangements whereby YTC competitors provide safety and race officer cover for dinghies, and dinghy sailors provide safety cover for YTC
    • Autumn series: Sunday afternoons 8th September- 27th October
    • Frosty Series:  Sunday afternoons 3rd November – 24th November
  2. Regatta
    • We assume convenorship of BLYC from 2024

Speakers Nights for Autumn 2024

A series of Speakers nights have been scheduled for Autumn 2024:

  • 5th September The Schooner “Result” Returns to Belfast, Nigel Thompson.
  • 3rd October Sailing Single Handed across the Atlantic, Garry Crothers.
  • 7th November Sailing on the North Coast of Spain, Roy Seaton.
  • 12th December Sailing the Round Ireland Race, Brian and Ryan Wilson.

CSC Regatta 17th August 2024

Thank you to all who attended our regatta last week, we were delighted to have over 45 boats participating. We hope you enjoyed the great weather, exceptional racing and the music and craic after!


Special thanks, as always, to all the volunteers involved in the planning and on the day.
