Terry Windsor

Following our spring series prize giving we had a lovely afternoon celebrating the many years of voluntary services of our now-retired Race Officer Terry Windsor.

Terry is still a very active and crucial member of Carrickfergus Sailing Club. After his racing days finished, he spent many years on the Sailing Committee and held the important role of Chief Race Officer for the last 25 years. Being in charge of the Club Battery, he was responsible for selecting the courses for all club races including regatta days which could have upward of 80 boats from different classes. He ensured his team recorded the results accurately and effectively for all races. Club racing would take place 2-3 times a week – an enormous commitment from Terry over the many years he has held this role.

Thank you Terry for all your hard work and we know we can call on you for advice anytime.
